Rattlers Seek Fourth Win

The Rochester Rattlers will travel to Ohio on Saturday, June 15th to take on the Machine at 7:30 PM EST. at Selby Stadium in the two’s second meeting of the season.

When Rochester and Ohio met for the first time this season on June 2nd, the Rattlers held on for a 9-7 win, powered by a three goal performance from midfielder Jordan MacIntosh, and a 16 save showing from goalie John Galloway.

Rochester comes into Ohio currently riding a two game winning streak. The Rattlers are looking to improve their 3-3 record seeking their fourth win on the season, coming off their latest game against Boston in which the Rattlers rallied from behind to pull out the 16-14 victory against the Cannons.

Ohio comes into Saturday sitting at a record of 0-6, seeking their first win of the season. In their most recent loss, Ohio fell to Charlotte on June 8th, 13-7. Galloway and the rest of the defense will have the difficult task of containing Ohio’s leading scorer and 2011 Tewaaraton Award winner Steele Stanwick, who leads the Machine with six goals and eight assists.

MacIntosh has been on fire for Rochester, and only looks to increase his goal total of 14 on Saturday. In the past two games, MacIntosh has found the back of the net seven times, and seeks a third straight hat trick against the Machine.

Galloway has also been dominant for Rochester, and has been named the Warrior Defensive Player of the Week in his last two performances. In his last two games against Ohio and Boston, Galloway has earned the win in both, while adding 39 saves. Galloway will look for his third straight player of the week performance this Saturday.

As Rochester’s rookies are starting to integrate themselves into the lineup, two Rattlers’ draftees have already been making a name for themselves. Johns Hopkins midfielder John Ranagan and 2013 Duke National Champion Dave Lawson have both made the most out of their debut MLL season. In the last game against Boston, Lawson and Ranagan were a key part of the Rochester’s win, combining for four goals. The two rookies only look to increase their production against Ohio on Saturday.
