Matt Miller is a native of Warrenton, Virginia. Miller played his college lacrosse at Notre Dame, where he was a top defenseman, and was a multiple time All-American selection. In his senior season, Matt was a team captain, and also was a finalist for the Lowe’s Senior Class Award. Matt was selected in the 6th round of the 2013 MLL Collegiate Draft by Rochester, 44th overall.
2013: Team Captain…Played and started in 16 games…Picked up 28 ground balls…Caused nine turnovers… Helped defensive unit post an 8.31 goals-against average…Selected as a Third Team All-American…Also selected as a USILA Scholar All-American…First Team All-Big East….Lowe’s Senior Class Award Finalist.
2012: Earned honorable mention All-America honors from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) ... second team all-BIG EAST ... started all 16 games in the close defensive unit for the Irish ... Notre Dame's dominant defense led the nation in goals-against average (6.31) along with boasting the top man-down defense (.892) ... had one assist and 30 ground balls.
2011: Played in one game ... saw time in a 14-3 win at Providence.
2010: Saw action in one game during his rookie season ... took the field during the 11-3 win over Providence.
